Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Tendrel, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates tendrei.com and the Tendrel AI operations platform, together called the "Service." Tendrel is an AI-powered operations assistant for factory-floor and plant teams. The Service connects with manufacturing systems, including computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), SCADA historians, and manufacturing execution systems (MES), allowing operators and plant managers to ask plain-English questions about data those systems produce. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect through your interactions with the Service, how we use it, and your available choices. It covers information collected through the Service and through direct communications with us.

The Company is based at 1163 West Randolph Street, Floor 3, Chicago, IL 60607 and can be reached at [email protected].

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

We collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Contact information, such as your name, email address, and phone number, when you request early access, submit a contact form, or subscribe to the Dispatch newsletter;
  • Company and facility details, including employer, role, plant type, and CMMS or SCADA platform, that you provide when asking about pilot eligibility;
  • Pilot participant account details, including email address, password, company, and job role;
  • The contents of messages you send us.

2.2 Operational Data from Connected Plant Systems

When a pilot customer or subscriber deploys Tendrel at a manufacturing facility, the Service reads data from connected plant systems to answer queries from authorized team members. This includes maintenance work orders, equipment sensor readings, alarm logs, and production output records from your CMMS, historian, and MES platforms. The Company processes this data transiently to produce plain-language answers and source citations. Raw operational data from connected factory systems is not persistently stored beyond individual query responses. We do not use such data to train AI models without your explicit written consent.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit tendrei.com, we automatically collect limited technical information:

  • IP address and approximate city and region;
  • Browser, operating system, and device class;
  • Visited pages, referring URLs, and time on page;
  • Cookie and similar identifiers, as described in Section 5.

2.4 Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child provided information, contact [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Answer early-access requests, inquiries, and pilot applications, and provide requested information about Tendrel;
  • Run, maintain, and enhance the Service, including its AI query engine and factory-system connectors;
  • Answer operational questions submitted through the platform by reading connected plant-system data;
  • Send service notices and, where consent is required, Dispatch newsletter and marketing communications;
  • Identify, investigate, and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and other Service misuse;
  • Meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information for money. If state law treats some advertising arrangements as a "sale" or "share," see your state's section below.

4. Sharing of Information

We share personal information only with:

  • Providers serving us, including hosting, email delivery, and analytics providers, under contractual confidentiality obligations;
  • Authorities where legally required or necessary to protect rights, safety, or property;
  • A successor entity after a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Cookies and similar technologies help us operate the site, remember preferences, and measure use. See our Cookie Policy for details and choices.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as needed for the purposes in this Policy, legal and accounting requirements, and dispute resolution. Pilot participant account data remains for the engagement term plus 90 days after it closes. Marketing and early-access contacts are removed after 24 months without activity. Server access logs remain for 90 days before aggregation. Operational data from connected factory systems is processed transiently for query responses and not retained in identifiable form after answers are generated.

7. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards for personal information, including TLS encryption in transit, restricted-access databases, and least-privilege controls. Factory-system connections are read-only, and the Service does not write to your CMMS, historian, or MES. No system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

8. Your General Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information and limit certain processing. Email [email protected] to submit a request. We respond within the period required by applicable law.

9. Illinois Residents

Illinois currently lacks a comprehensive consumer privacy statute. As a policy, we provide these baseline rights to all U.S. residents, regardless of state residence.

9.3 Sector-Specific Rights

Federal sector laws, including HIPAA, GLBA, and FERPA, may provide additional rights for data they cover.
