About

Made for the floor, not the boardroom

We started Tendrel in 2023 after years of watching plant teams struggle to get quick answers from the systems already around them. The data was there, but access to it was not.

Why we started Tendrel

Our starting question was simple: why should a plant manager need 45 minutes to answer "what happened to output on Line 3 last Tuesday?" The data sits in the CMMS, sensor readings in the historian, and production figures in the MES. It was never hidden. There was simply no way to ask once and receive an answer across all three systems.

Existing tools require knowing which system to query, learning how to navigate it, then running a report or waiting for an analyst. That works for scheduled reviews, not the 30 questions that arise during a shift.

Tendrel addresses that gap without replacing your stack or starting a data lake project. Ask in plain English and receive an answer grounded in your data, with a source citation, in seconds.

Our team

We are a small team spanning industrial automation, applied AI, and operations software. Tendrel is bootstrapped and focused, rather than raising rounds before we had pilots.

What we believe about factory data

People who create data should be able to query it

A maintenance lead who has used your CMMS for six years should be able to ask a question and get an answer, without waiting for an analyst or scheduled report.

Answers need sources

Each response from Tendrel names the exact record, timestamp, and system behind it. If you cannot check it, it is not trustworthy. AI does not lower that bar.

Useful tools should not require replacement projects

Your CMMS, historian, and MES remain in place. An effective AI layer reads existing data instead of asking you to migrate or replace working systems.

Bootstrapped means our plants come before investors

Tendrel is self-funded, without a growth-at-all-costs mandate. We grow when pilot results support expansion. That alignment guides our decisions.
